"Hristo Botev" primary school is situated in the neighbourhood of Asparuhovo, the town of Varna. Varna is the third largest town in Bulgaria situated on the Black Sea coast, a main centre called the sea capital of the country. Our school has a history of 86 years, through which it has been offerring a good quality of education and is still preferrable place to study in the region. We have 450 students, aged from 7 to 13, forming 20 classes in number and a pedagogical staff of 37 well-qualified teachers.

We have a lot of extracurriculum activities  such as a painting "Pallete" club, a tourism and basketball sections, a school choir "Rakovina". The school has  successfully worked over a number of school projects on a regional scope and has recently participated in a multilateral partnership.
We have 15 students with special needs, migrant students and refugees from Syria. Bilingual students, mainly Turkish and Gypsy speaking – 20 % of the pupils, are the biggest part of early school leaving.
Our aim in this project is to socialize and integrate these groups in risk using curricular and extracurricular activities. Most of the pupils need communication on a cultural, educational and civilization level with pupils from other European countries. Communicative difficulties of the bilingual students can be overcome through  games as an universal means for communication and friendship. Improving their skills in foreign languages and other school subjects will motivate them in their curriculum activities at school and the professional implementation. Acquiring knowledge for different cultures and contacting with people outside their social environment will enrich their range of interests and motivate them  for their successful  future realization.

Limonlu İlköğretim Okulu institution is a public primary school. It is a transportational teaching institute. The school serves 470 students in the range of 5 to 14 with 23 teachers. The city, Erdemli, has charming specialities such as mild climate, easy living conditions and job opportunities.  Every year a great amount of people from south eastern part of Turkey migrate here to take advantage of these opportunities.  So,  student profile is various. The students' mothers  are housewives and fathers are unemploed or low paid workers.  The families who immigrate our town, usually work as agricultural workers so they don't make time for their children's education. The conditions associated with their migratory lifestyle, such as discontinuity in education, social and cultural isolation, strenuous work outside of school, extreme poverty, and poor health, impose multiple obstacles to educational success.
Role in the project:
Limonlu is situated in a medium sized town with a high  unemployment level. Therefore, the financial situation of the students’ families is not really good. It is located to a quite disadvantageous area by means of sociocultural level and economical situation of the families. The students are highly interested  in foreign cultures and the way of thinking elsewhere.Through this project we, as partner, aim to offer the students the chance to see beyond their own tradition and culture. We will have chance to get in contact with people from other countries and cultures. When we take into consideration that most of our students may not have the chance of visiting even the nearby cities, this will be a precious experience for them. We believe that sharing all these different  traditions can add an extra value to the project  and at the same time integrate our pupils with different backgrounds. At the same time we would like to stress the importance of tradition and identity within globalization.

Základní škola Ostrava are an average state school situated in the centre of Ostrava. Ostrava is the third largest town in the Czech Republic known for its multicultural environment and unique industrial historical monuments. The institution could be characterized as a housing estates school type  due to its location. There are educated about 500 children including pupils with special educational needs and ethnic minorities.
Participation in Comenius project could be a great opportunity for  children and also teachers not only to improve their English which is taught from the first class but also to learn new facts about foreign countries in a new and interesting way which is highly motivating and can positively change children learning approach, get new ideas of teaching and learning and share it with foreign partners, improve communication and ICT skills. Children can compare and find similarities and dissimilarities between countries, find out that every country has something unique that makes it special and be proud of it.Another very important fact is promoting gender equality and improving the learning of children from ethnic minorities. Work on this project could make children communicate more with their parents and grandparents, teach them how to cooperate and use their free time.

Szkoła Podstawowa is situated on the suburbs of Pszczyna. There is a big contrast between children coming from poor and wealthy families. Some members of the school community belong to poor, single-parent or patological families. Fortunatelly, most of the pupils do not judge others because of the economic status, but they can cooperate  with one another and can be fantastic class mates. Our school is also attended by pupils from Children's Home. It happens that they are  disobidient, agressive . They find it difficult to  share their feelings or communicate with peers.  The teachers organise  special classes (corrective-compensatory,therapeutic) for these students to help them to function in the social environment. Teachers also take part in different courses and trainings to improve their qualifications. The school building is quite big, so we have opportunity to organize different kinds of subjects' clubs to help children to develop their interests and spend their free time effectively. What more, in our school there are a lot of events for the local community to strenghten the school-parents relations,  for example: Christmas market, Seniors' Day, Grandparents' Day, Gifts from our hearts ( help for poor families), etc…
