Digitization, also referred to as digitalisation, is the process of converting information into a digital format, in which the given information is organized into bits.
With today’s modern technology, mobile phones and access to internet almost everywhere, people are more connected and more informed than ever. We can look up pretty much anything in just a few seconds. We can send a message to people across the globe instantly, which allows us to create friendships and connections with people worldwide.
But digitization is much more than just smart phones and internet, it’s the ability for us to do everything known to humanity, but digitally – unlimited and everywhere. Digitization means access to any kind of information and communication. This is the phenomenon of our century, a phenomenon that drives us apart but keeps us close at the same time; one that gives us control but simultaneously controls us.
