Are video games actually helping you?

For many people video games are very stupid and are just something that you can waste your time on. But for me(and most of the teenagers) the games are a part of our life with which we can improve our common sense of knowledge, our reflexes and our concentration. And it is actually proved.

Cognitive scientists from the University of Rochester have discovered that playing action video games trains people to make the right decisions faster. The researchers found that video game players develop a heightened sensitivity to what is going on around them, and this benefit doesn’t just make them better at playing video games, but improves a wide variety of general skills that can help with everyday activities like multitasking, driving, reading small print, keeping track of friends in a crowd, and navigating around town.

But sadly some of the people still don’t believe this fact, because they don’t love video games or either they haven’t ever played! And I think that people firstly should try the activity or whatever it is before they criticize it and after that comment on the subject. But as we all know, not all people think like me and this is the beauty in the person: everybody is individual and thinks in a special way so this is why I won’t be negative to people who don’t like game or haven’t tried them. They have made their choice and only they can change it!

And this is from me for now, so bye and hive a nice day and be ready for new updates!

Violence in video games – does it actually affect you?

Video games – it is something that you have probably experienced in parts of your life. Let it be the first  “Tetris” , or some modern day game the sweet victory against a friend, an AI or even somebody online could make your day. But with everything that is too perfect, there will always be somebody that can find some flaws. And for most of them it is the serious theme of violence.

As we all know, violence is something that humans have since they were born. In the past people taught that everything could be won by a fight, a war – generally a violent act. But with the progress of humanity we have evolved and discovered that not everything can be solved by brute force and we can fix problems in a civilized way.

But with this progress we have also developed games in which we can compete for prices or for the pure excitement of the game. And a lost in something that you have invested so much time will surely make you angry and if you cannot control your emotions you will express it towards other people and that is bad. Another example is the killing in games as “Counter Strike” , “GTA”, “Call of Duty” and many others. Most people think that these games could affect you in a negative way and could trigger your aggression and make you do awful things.

But for me this is total crap! For most of the games it isn’t the violence in games that affects people but it is the opposite: the people’s aggression is portrayed in the game genre. Without the wars and all the killings there wouldn’t be such games. As I said, for me this is wrong because only the people can choose what they should interpret in them and what is the difference between reality and imagination. Only a person can have the choice whether or not should they follow the messages in the games (like killing, or stealing or something of this sort). And that is why I am not 100% accepting the these that violent video games affect negatively the young audience.

But there is also other people that are defending these hypothesis. For them the biggest proof is the “Bobo doll experiment”, whose mission is to show the results of what happens when a kid is exposed to unfairness which triggers their aggression.

I would write more, but sadly I don’t have enough time, so i will end my post here. But be ready for updates soon! Have a nice day and always be happy!
