SCHOOL SPELLING BEE – 2016
Our School Spelling Bee was held on March 2 , 2016. There were spellers from grade 3,4,5,6 and 7. After 6 intense rounds, Mariela Antonova (grade 4) won and Mihail Zhekov (grade 4) was the runner-up. Mrs. Milena Lesova was the pronouncer for the bee and Mrs. Monika Kosova and Mrs. Veselina Gadzheva were the judges of the contest. Mrs. Lesova awarded the winner and runner-up with prizes for their excellent spelling results. Good luck, kids!
SCHOOL SPELLING BEE – 2015
The competition was tough, with students from grades three through eight spelling out various words. More than half of the students remained on stage after round three.
Now a third-grader at Hristo Botev Lower Secondary School, Mariela Antonova will compete against other master spellers in the Regional Spelling Bee in April.
The second-place winner was the sixth-grader Valentin Telbiyski, who will also take part in the regional competition.
The finalists have qualified to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee on Feb. 28, where the top three finishers of the Regional Bee will qualify for the national tournament in April.

After 10 intense rounds, Tomas Madzharski (grade 6) won and Valentin Telbiiski (grade 4)was the runner-up. Mrs. Milena Lesova was the pronouncer for the bee and Mrs. Monika Kosova and Mrs. Veselina Gadzheva were the judges of the contest. Mrs. Gadzheva awarded the winner and runner-up with prizes for their excellent spelling ability. Good luck, boys!
