1. Definite and Indefinite Article
In English there are two articles:
а) indefinite article – derived from numeral one (one) and shall be used only to singular nouns, which are mentioned for the first time.
Example: There is a student in the class room – Има един/ някъкъв ученик в класната стая
Indefinite articles itself has two forms:
– “A” – used before words beginning with a consonant
– “An” – used before words beginning with a vowel
б) definite article “the” – derived from “that” and shall be used to nouns, which have already been mentioned above or are known to those communicators.
Example: There is a student in the class room. The student is writing his homework. Този ученик / Ученикът си пише домашната работа.
