Parkour is relaxing and funny disciplineusing movement that developed from military obstacle course training.Practitioners aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement (crawling) and other movements as deemed most suitable for the situation. Parkour’s development from military training gives it some aspects of a non-combative martial art.Parkour is an activity that can be practiced alone or with others and is usually carried out in urban spaces, though it can be done anywhere. Parkour involves seeing one’s environment in a new way, and imagining the potential for navigating it by movement around, across, through, over and under its features.Parkour was developed in Britain, primarily by Raymond Belle, and further by his son David and the latter’s group of friends, the self-styled Yamakasi, during the late 1980s.[13][14] The discipline was popularised in the late 1990s and 2000s through films, documentaries, and advertisements featuring the Yamakasi. And also i will give some tips for parkour begginers.
1.Monkey
To execute a monkey vault build up a bit of speed while approaching the rail, and just before you reach it step your legs together – maintaining your prior momentum – and jump up and forwards, bringing your legs together up towards your chest. As you jump reach your arms forward and grab the rail, leaning forward to allow your feet to clear it. Once you have reached the other side you may choose to land on one leg to continue running, or if it is a significant drop execute a PK roll.
2.Kong
Kongs are useful for moving over long objects, such as large barriers. The same movement can be used to move over rails and fences. And its very easy to do.
If these jumps are hard for you, then try practising freerunning. Its easier than parkour and its for parkour begginers.
At this link there is video with parkour and freerunning basics:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgDvk1F3veQ
